Delray Beach, FL, May 9, 2007—Cavit Sciences, Inc. (“Cavit”) (OTCBB: CVIT) today announced that it held a board of directors meeting on May 5, 2007.
Cavit's board of directors was joined by the company\'s scientific researchers and investors at the first board meeting held in its new facility in Miami. The facility provides laboratories for the research and development of Cavit's drugs to be presented to the U.S. FDA and separate laboratories for the research and development of Cavit's current nutraceutical and supplement products.
"We selected this facility based on a number of factors, including the abundance of biotechnology knowledge, education and training in the Southeast Florida area that has created a large and well-qualified scientific community to work with," said Colm J. King, Cavit's CEO. "This facility is an important milestone for Cavit and we are excited about our future relationships with respected research labs in the fast growing biotech center of Southeast Florida."
The board reviewed the company's current strategy and resolved that its strategic plan is the best course of action to further enhance shareholder value. The company is moving forward with its existing drug rights, securing additional rights and negotiating with other drug companies in order to collaborate and coordinate for faster growth.
